What is a Doula?
A Doula is a woman experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a woman and her family before, during and just after childbirth. A Doula helps the laboring woman with encouragement, comfort measures, relaxation techniques, and an objective viewpoint, as well as support after childbirth, such as help with breastfeeding.
Target Audience: Childbirth educators, nurses, nursing students, midwifery students, massage therapist, physical therapist, and anyone interested in assisting women and their families to achieve a positive birth experience.
